The Ars Goetia is a grimoire that contains a list of 72 demons that are said to be able to be summoned by a magician. The demons are divided into two groups: the Spirits of Evil and the Spirits of Good. Each group has 36 demons. Note that this group may als be called 72 Pillars or the Lemegeton. The Ars Goetia was first published in 1563 by Johann Weyer, a German physician and occultist. The book was later translated into English by Samuel Mathers in 1898.
