Sounds like they’re confusing fantasy with real life. Spirit keeping IRL isn’t like Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, or Pokémon. We aren’t running around in the wild trying to lure spirits into traps or enslave them in eternal servitude. Are there unethical conjures? Absolutely. That’s why it’s so important for prospective keepers to vet them before doing business. I know I scoured reviews and online forums to try to get a good idea of who I was dealing with before I decided to take the plunge. I, personally, knew one of my spirits before I even thought about becoming a spirit keeper. Imagine my surprise when I received the binding info that was exactly how he’d presented himself to me right down to his name. Basically, he’d seen the opportunity for us to be closer and jumped on it completely of his own free will. I do question how he presented himself to the conjurer, because he isn’t really how they’ve chosen to classify him, but that’s a whole other story. Maybe the Pathfinder program can shed more light on that, lol. Not sure where elves come into it. Like I said, they sound really confused and a little angry. Maybe they’ve had a bad experience? If a spirit doesn’t wasn’t to be bound to you, believe me, they’ll find a way to let you know. They aren’t shy.
