I grew up on my grandparents' farm. I think my path started there when I was a kid. I would spend every afternoon after school taking three or four hour walks in the woods. There I learned that there were wonders to be found and sometimes, the trees will talk to you.
When I was eighteen, I discovered Wicca. In some ways, it was like coming home, but it didn't quite fit. Granted, it's changed a lot from when I first found it.
I've looked into and explored quite a few other paths and systems over the years - for example, druidry, chaos magick, kabbalah, astrology, satanism. I also have taken lessons in color and sound healing based on the teachings of Alice Bailey, as well as core shamanism from a direct student of Michael Harner. Some if it fit. A lot didn't. Quite a bit I couldn't make head or tails of - I still can't tell you anything about astrology beyond my birth, moon and rising signs.
I guess I took the long way around to say that these days, my path is more Egyptian flavored eclectic/pagan/shamanic and "fly by the seat of my pants."
I have never been spirital or religious. I started to get in touch with this spirital side of myself back in November after discovering spirit keeping. It has really helped me focus on myself and my needs, has helped me grow. I've gotten into crystals and learning about their metaphysical properties. I am also considering looking into Buddism as a practice. I've also been looking into anything witchy. There is a lot of research/discovery happening to find my path.
I am more grounded in mysticism and the Western Mystery Schools. A lot of my practice revolves around meditation and ceremonial high magick. I do a lot of work with elemental and angelic energies. I‘m all about the Great Work! Looking forward to learning more about the paths others have chosen to pursue!
A witch who dabbles in green energy, crystals and vibing off the universal energies that are abundant around us. New to spirit keeping and cannot wait to learn all that this path holds for me and my new friends. I was raised in a Christian household with a mother who never pushed her belief on me(but she's a bit of a witch herself without knowing it) she has always loved and used crystal energy and used to read tarot often. I grew up going to a summer bible camp, where I learned so much about life. I never really believed in the biblical god, but I know that energy is real and is everywhere, everything/one has a vibration. It can be amazing to interact with such energies and manifest or alter it. All in all, my path brought me here and I'm thankful for it. Now let's all join on this similar, yet vastly different journey together, I'm ready, are you?
That's amazing! Its great that your mother has tones of witchery in her life, perhaps she's a natural witch😉 i love crystal work and being one with the universe!
